Limoncello Brandy Martini

Our readers and Twitter followers will probably remember that I recently posted that I was making a homemade limoncello.  The reason for making it, was to  include in some upcoming recipes that readers have been submitting.   This one, which was submitted by a reader, Amanda K., makes great use of limoncello.  Enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Korbel Brandy
  • 1/2 oz. Homemade Limoncello
  • 1 oz. Cointreau
  1. Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker; fill with crushed ice and shake gently.
  2. Pour into a chilled martini glass rimmed with sugar.
  3. Garnish with a lemon wheel.

Enjoy!!!

The Sexy Martini

So this is from a subscriber from NYC, who traded tweets with us about the proper attitude you should adopt when drinking a Martini.  Thanks Amber M., and Happy Labor Day.  Party On!

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Pinky Vodka
  • 1 oz Chambord Raspberry Liqueur
  • 1 oz Hpnotiq Liqueur
  • 1 splash Veuve Clicquot Champagne
Pour the vodka and the chambord and the hypnotiq in a shaker and shake well before pouring in a martini glass, then add a splash of champagne and enjoy!!

Tropalicious Martini

This is to help you celebrate Martini Monday.  We got this submission from a reader in Oregon.  Let us know what you think!!

Ingredients

  • 1 oz DeKuyper Tropical Papaya
  • 1 oz Stolichnaya Vodka
  • 1/2 oz cranberry juice
  • 1/2 oz  ruby red grapefruit juice
  1. Pour all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.  Fill shaker with crushed ice.
  2. Shake gently.
  3. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
  4. Garnish with a pineapple slice.

White Gummi Bear Martini

This recipe comes to us from a new friend; @1ntoxicologist on Twitter.  He’s a cool dude, and we hope that you will follow him if you tweet.  Check it out, and let us know if you think it’s a winner. 

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Bacardi Dragonberry Rum
  • 1/2 Shot Skyy Vodka Grape
  •  1/2 Shot Cruzan Black Cherry Rum
  • 2 oz  Sour Mix
  •  Splash of ice tea
  1. Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.  Shake well.
  2. Mixture should be a cloudy white color; if it is too sour, you can even it out with a splash of Sprite soda.
  3. Pour into a chilled Martini Glass.
  4. Garnish with White Gummi Bears.

This recipe comes courtesy of one of our Facebook Followers, Lisa, who states that this is her favorite summertime martini.  It’s an Oldie but Goodie, and we think it is simply fantastic.  Let us know what you think!

Ingredients

  • 1- 1/2 oz  Stoli Razberi
  •  1 oz Cointreau
  • 1 dash lime juice
  •  1 oz cranberry juice 
  • 6 raspberries 
  1. Place all ingredients except for TWO of the raspberries into a cocktail shaker, fill with ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Pour into a chilled Martini Glass
  4. Garnish with the remaining raspberries.

Enjoy!!

Birthday Martini

We are celebrating Amanda’s Birthday…so in her honor, we are presenting the recipe for a Birthday Martini.  We would love for you to join us in the celebration.  Send us a pic of you preparing or drinking the martini.  Better yet, send Amanda a Birthday Shout Out!

Ingredients

  •  1-1/2 oz. Stolichnaya Vanilla Vodka
  • 1 oz half and half
  • 1/2 oz Hiram Walker Amaretto
  • Small amount lemon zest
  1. In a cocktail shaker assemble all ingredients; fill shaker with ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Pour into well chilled Martini glasses rimmed with colored sugar.
  4. Garnish with a dot of Whipped Cream in the center and a Candle, or Cupcake Sprinkles.

Ingredients

  • 1oz  Absolut Pear Vodka
  • 1 1/2oz  Grey Goose Citrus Vodka
  • 1/2oz  Bacardi Dragon Berry Rum
  • 1/2oz  Triple Sec
  • 1/2oz  Peach Schnapps
  • 1/2oz Pineapple Juice
  • 1/2oz Cranberry Juice
  • 1/2oz Orange Juice
  1. Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker; add crushed ice.  Shake well.
  2. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  3. Garnish with a slice of peach or pear.

Cinnamon Apple Martini

This recipe comes from our new friend on Twitter, @mayorkl .  This is an awesome recipe, and he is an awesome person for sharing it with us.  If you’re cool, you’ll follow him!  (We are!)

Ingredients

  • 2oz Citadelle Green Apple Vodka
  • .5oz House infused Cinnamon vodka
  • 1oz Apfelkorn
  • A Splash simple syrup
  1. Chill a Martini Glass.  Rim with Cinnamon-Sugar.
  2. In a Cocktail shaker, add all ingredients, and fill with crushed ice.
  3. Shake gently.
  4. Strain into the chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with a Green Apple Wedge.

Marmalade Breakfast Martini

Don’t you absolutely love this idea…a Martini to jump start your day!  Many thanks to Susannah G. , a reader from Baltimore, who felt that we were ignoring the most important meal of the day.  Let us know what you think!

Ingredients

  • 1 spoonful Orange Marmalade
  • 2 oz. Tanqueray Gin
  • 3/4 oz. Cointreau
  • 3/4 oz. Freshly squeezed lemon juice
    1. Chill a cocktail glass while you are making the martinis. 
    2. Put the marmalade together with the gin in the bottom of your shaker and stir them together until the marmalade dissolves.
    3. Add the lemon juice and Cointreau to the shaker; fill with crushed ice.
    4. Shake well.
    5. Strain into the now chilled Martini Glas.
    6. Garnish by floating a twist of orange peel in the drink.

    Blue Velvet Martini

    This is an easy to make recipe, submitted by Lilo T.  Please let us know if you like.

    Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz.  Tito’s Vodka   or Tanqueray Gin 
  • Blue Curaçao 
  • Rose’s lime juice 
    1. Stir vodka with a splash of blue curacao and a shot of lime juice.
    2. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
    3. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
